To enhance network security, conserve battery life, and avoid unauthorized pairing under the kiosk, IT administrators may need to manage Bluetooth settings across all devices. The Kiosk Mode feature offered by AirDroid Business presents an effective solution for this requirement.
Note : Devices enrolled in Android Enterprise or Zero Touch on Android 13.0 and above are not supported.
In this article, we will guide you through the process of managing Bluetooth Settings in Kiosk Mode. Let's get started.
Step 1
Access the "Bluetooth" Section for Kiosk Mode
Go to Admin Console > Policy & Kiosk > Policy & Kiosk Config Files. Click on the Arrow icon on your existing Config File > Edit.
If you have not created a Config File, click + Create Config File instead.
Next, click on Device Limitation > Bluetooth. You can see the "Bluetooth" section. This is where you can manage Bluetooth Settings in Kiosk Mode.
Step 2
Set up Bluetooth Status
You can choose whether to keep your device's Bluetooth Status ON/OFF by clicking the drop-down box. There are three options: None, Keep Enabled, or Keep Disabled.
● None: Device users have the flexibility to turn the Bluetooth function on or off according to their personal needs.
● Keep Enabled: The Bluetooth function on the device will always be on, and the device user cannot turn it off.
● Keep Disabled: The Bluetooth function on the device will always be off, and the device user cannot turn it off.
Step 3
Set up the Restriction of Bluetooth
● To allow users to access the "Bluetooth" settings in Kiosk mode, please turn on the switch on the right.
Upon activating this switch, You will find the entrance to the Bluetooth settings can be located in the upper right corner of the device interface.
● To disallow users to access the "Bluetooth" settings in Kiosk mode, please turn off the switch on the right.
After turning off this switch, you will find that the entrance to Bluetooth settings does not appear in the upper right corner of the device interface.
Step 4
Save and Apply the Settings
After setting up this Kiosk File, click the "Save" button on the top right corner. (When you create this file for the first time, you will need to fill in the file name and remarks.)
Next, select the Kiosk File you just created or edited. Find the [Apply Config File to the following devices/groups] and click [+Add]. Choose the devices or groups to which you want to apply the kiosk settings to and confirm.
When the status in the list turns to "Applied successfully", it means the kiosk settings have been successfully applied to the target devices.
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage Bluetooth settings on all your devices in Kiosk Mode using AirDroid Business.
