How to Delete ChatGPT Conversation History

Note: I’m using ChatGPT 4o on the web browser, so the steps or buttons may be slightly different on your device with a different model or browser.
To delete an individual conversation on ChatGPT, follow these steps:
Step 1
Go to chatgpt.com on your browser, and log into your account.
Step 2
Hover your mouse on one of the conversations on the left.
Step 3
Click the three-dot, and click Delete.
Step 4
Confirm it by clicking Delete again.
To delete all the chat history on ChatGPT, follow these steps:
Step 1
Go to chatgpt.com on your browser, and log into your account.
Step 2
Click the profile icon > Settings on the upper right. If you are using ChatGPT 4, the profile icon is located at the bottom left corner.
Step 3
Choose General > Delete all chats > Delete all to delete all the chat history.
Step 4
A pane will pop up asking to Clear your chat history - are you sure? Click Confirm deletion.
