Launch your Instagram app and navigate to your profile.

Tap on three horizontal lines icon then select 'Settings and privacy'.

Tap 'Account privacy' below 'Who can see your content' section.

Enable the switch next to "Private account".

Tap 'Switch to private' to confirm.
Note: When you switch to a private account, only the followers you've approved will have access to your shared content, including photos and videos.
